About the Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Northern Ohio

The
Kerry Blue Terrier Club of Northern Ohio began in 1978 and was
chartered by the AKC (the American Kennel Club) in 1980. Our goals were
closely modeled after the US Kerry Blue Terrier Club (USKBTC). We have been hosting Kerry Blue Specialties for
three decades.
Our
main priority is to continually improve upon our Canfield Specialty
Show as we strive to be the best held specialty in the country.
Canfield weekend is a highly renowned affair for Kerry Breeders &
Fanciers alike featuring the finest competition, spectacular trophies,
fun social activities, and down to earth hospitality.
Changes
over time include a focus on giving back to our membership, increasing
the knowledge of Kerry Blue Terriers to the public at large,
improvement of the breed via responsible breeding, and supporting genetic
research. We
have supported many sister clubs via dual memberships and direct
donations too. We are always eager to help.
We
have held Temperament Testing and other testing forums in the past. We
also have hosted Educational forums including veterinarian
presentations, animal communicators, and animal behaviorists.
We
encourage all Kerry lovers, breeders, and sister clubs to come visit
us in Canfield Ohio this year and “Share in the Magic”.
If you are interested in the Breed please feel free to contact
us for information as well as support. In the meantime, please
explore our website's resources to discover more about this awesome
breed and our fine Club.

On Always!
